| When someone dies at home |
|
The first person to advise is the Medical Practitioner who has been caring for you family member. If Silver Chain has been the carer you should already have a contact number for your Case Nurse. It is then necessary for either the Doctor or Nurse to visit the home to confirm death in writing.
Once this has taken place it is time to call your Funeral Director who will then make arrangements to transfer your loved one immediately.
Your Funeral Director will then make an appointment with you to either meet at your home or one of the Company’s offices to make the arrangements for the Funeral Service.
Our arrangers are available 7 days a week to meet with you at your home or at our offices and you can contact us by phone 24 hours a day.
